Much of what you share in a session is personal, and some of it is about your health. This page sets out what is collected, why, who else sees it, and how to get it deleted.
Who is responsible
Devika Kamat, trading as LEGAL ENTITY NAME, at FULL BUSINESS ADDRESS, decides how the information described here is used. Write to info@drddevikakamat.com with any question about it.
What is collected
When you pay for something
Razorpay collects your name, email address and phone number at checkout, and passes them on so the booking can be arranged and the purchase delivered. Card and banking details go directly to Razorpay and are never seen or stored by us.
When you work with Devika
Notes are kept from sessions, which can include what you say about your health, diet, sleep, medication, and what is going on in your life. This is sensitive information and it is treated that way. It is used only to work with you properly between sessions.
When you get in touch
Emails to info@drddevikakamat.com and messages on WhatsApp or Instagram are kept so the conversation can be followed.
When you join the Women's Wellness Circle
The circle runs on WhatsApp, so your phone number and WhatsApp display name are visible to everyone else in the group. Please only share what you are comfortable having other members see.
When you simply visit this website
This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for security purposes.
Why it is used
- To take payment and deliver what you paid for.
- To arrange, hold and follow up on sessions.
- To answer your messages.
- To meet tax, accounting and other legal obligations.
Your information is never sold, rented, or used to advertise to you, and it is never shared with anyone for their own marketing.
Who else handles it
- Razorpay processes payments and holds the payment record.
- Google Workspace hosts the email account, and Google Sheets holds the public list of events and guides. No client information goes in those sheets.
- Vercel hosts this website.
- WhatsApp and Meta carry group and individual messages.
- INTERAKT, IF USED FOR SENDING PURCHASES
Some of these providers are outside India and your information may be processed abroad.
How long it is kept
Session notes are kept for HOW LONG, e.g. THREE YEARS after we last work together. Payment and tax records are kept for as long as Indian tax law requires, which is currently eight years. Emails and messages are kept for HOW LONG, e.g. TWO YEARS.
What you can ask for
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 you can ask for a copy of what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, and withdraw consent at any time.
Email info@drddevikakamat.com and you will get a reply within thirty days. Records that have to be kept for tax purposes cannot be deleted early, and that will be explained if it applies.
Keeping it safe
Access to notes and messages is limited to Dr. Devika Kamat. Accounts are protected by strong passwords and two factor authentication where the provider offers it. No system is perfectly secure, and if anything is ever compromised in a way that affects you, you will be told.
Children
These services are for adults. Nothing here is aimed at anyone under eighteen, and their information is not knowingly collected.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
